Obituary for Agnes Alice Hayes Agnes Hayes passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at age 85. She is survived by two children, Mark (Charlotte) Hayes and Vickie (Roger) Jefferson; three grandchildren, Melanie (Tim) Roberts, Angie (Kevin) Gaskins, and Malin (Kim) Hayes; six great grandchildren; one sister, Jean Elsberry; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Lynch “Pete” Hayes and one brother, Doyle Cagle.

She was on the executive committee of the Alabama Democratic Party. She was a retired legal secretary. Visitation will be Thursday, September 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Friday, September 7, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethlehem East Cemetery in Hanceville, AL. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Agnes Alice Hayes please visit our Sympathy Store.
