Obituary for Opal Virginia Burkett Opal Burkett passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at age 89. She is survived by one daughter, Vivian Clifton; one granddaughter, Deanna (Chris) Wilson; one great granddaughter, Kaitlyn Williams; one sister, Hazel Reaves; and several nieces and nephews. Opal is preceded in death by her husband, Ulyess Burkett and one son, Gary Burkett.

She was a wonderful Christian lady who loved her family. She attended Gardendale Church of Christ. The family will have a private burial at Oakland Cemetery to honor the wishes of Opal.
