OBITUARY Barbara L. Gravitt May 19, 1926 – October 2, 2018 Barbara L. Gravitt, age 92 of Gardendale, Alabama, was born in Hamilton, Alabama on May 19, 1926 and passed away peacefully on October 2, 2018. She was a very successful real estate agent in the North Jefferson area. She was a member of North Gardendale Church of Christ.

She loved her family dearly and cherished all the time she was able to spend with them. She will be greatly missed. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip and Maybelle Lawler; her loving husband of 58 years, James Neal Gravitt; her son, Ronnie McCracken, and seven brothers and sisters.

Barbara is survived by her daughter, Chequita Wilson (Jack); four grandchildren, Jennifer Burns (Daren), Amy Godwin (Troy), Beth Wright (Randy) and Ron McCracken (Gayla); ten great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother-in-law, Lindon Gravitt, and many other family members and a host of friends. Special thanks to Tomiko Hudson for her loving care and support since the passing of her husband, Neal. Celebration of Life services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. with Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.

Marshall Reid will be officiating the services.
