OBITUARY Marilyn Jane Rogers February 15, 1939 – October 19, 2018 Marilyn Jane Rogers, a resident of Gardendale, Alabama was born in Painesville, Ohio on February 15, 1939 and she passed away peacefully on October 19, 2018 at the age of 79. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Painesville, Ohio. She retired from AmSouth bank after 23 years of service.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and she cherished all the time she was able to spend with her family. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Chester and Helen Whitely; sister, Carol Geabo and a brother Billy Whitely. Marilyn is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Tommie Rogers; sons; Tommie Rogers II and his wife Carol; daughters, Diane Naden and her husband Scott, and Jennifer Kasel and her husband Andrew; brother, Ray Whitely and his wife Thelma; sister, Ann Tumie; grandchildren, Brittany Schmidt and her husband Chris, Kaylee Ward and her husband James, Tommie Rogers III, Zachary Naden, Morgan Kasel, Megan Kasel, and Maddox Kasel; great grandchildren, Eivin Schmidt, Layla Ward, and Roman Schmidt; several over family members and a host of friends.

Celebration of life services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, October 22, 2018 with a time of visitation to begin at 12:30; service at 2:00pm followed by her burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, Alabama.
