Obituary for Betty Waid Betty Waid passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband Reuben H. Waid, Jr.; brother Doug Bradford of Dothan; her mother, Elizabeth Bradford of Jasper; and her father, Dunk Bradford of Jasper. She is survived by her children, Jan Verciglio (husband Joe) and David Waid (wife Carol); grandchildren, Brad Waid (wife Bridget), Lauri Waid, and Joseph Verciglio, Jr. (wife Shelby); and great grandchild, Olivia Waid.

All children, grandchildren and great grandchild reside in Birmingham. Betty was a member of Gardendale First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m at The New Gardendale Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
