Obituary for Richard F. Reid Richard Reid went to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at age 75. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Linda Hays Reid; three children, Darrell (April) Reid, Tim (Tammy) Reid, and Erik Reid; grandchildren, Russell (Rachelle) Reid, Richelle (Justin) Peterson, Amber (Jon) Riddle, Maegan (Mark) Kunkel, Jordan Reid, Kaci Reid, and Marco Lopez; great grandsons, Weston Kunkel, Reid Kunkel, and Redding Reid; one sister, Joyce (Tommy) Frye; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Gaynelle Reid.

He retired from Jefferson County Roads and Transportation after over 38 years of service. He was the ultimate servant. He served his family, friends and community tirelessly.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, September 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home with burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Richard F.
