Obituary for Frances Edwards Hinkle Frances Edwards Hinkle went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at age 94. She is survived by two daughters, Anita (Charles) Pritchett and Susan (Jimmie) Johnson; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Justin) Glenn and Clint (Hannah) Johnson; four great grandchildren, Lydia Glenn, Elijah Glenn, Talitha Glenn, and Grayson Johnson; one sister, Wynelle (Frankie) Dollar; one brother, Leon (Nelia) Edwards; nieces and nephews, Laura Joiner, Pam Mann, Donna Ewing, Beth Martin, Steve Edwards, Mike Edwards, and Patti Hood; and other extended family and friends. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Agbert Hinkle and four brothers, Andrew, Chester, Alton, and James Allen “Buddy” Edwards.

She retired from Cullman County School System. After retirement, she served many years in the library at Gardendale First Baptist Church where she was a member. She was an avid reader, loved solving puzzles, gardening, and interacting with people.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 29, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at The New Gardendale Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home with burial to follow at Shelton Grove Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Gardendale First Baptist Church Library.
