Carolyn Ann Pettyjohn April 26, 1943 – January 18, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Carolyn Ann Pettyjohn, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend passed away peacefully at her home on January 18, 2019. She was born in Dallas, Texas and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1989. Carolyn was a true matriarch to her family; she was loving, supportive and consistently generous to everyone with her wisdom, warmth and compassion.

She is remembered as the epitome of a southern lady, always poised and beautifully put together. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ann Draper of Dallas, Texas and her beloved husband of 42 years, Jim Pettyjohn. She is survived by daughter Ashley Greenough and husband Brian, daughter Jennifer Huett and husband Brad, daughter Julie Love and husband Steve, all of Camano Island as well as her sister, Sara Frederick-Kuntze of Dallas.

In addition to her children, her grandchildren were the light of her life. They include Carolyn Huett, Greyson & Chase Greenough and Greg, David and Joey Love as well as numerous nieces and nephews whom she also cherished. We are comforted to know that she has gone on to be with the Lord and also her beloved husband, Jim.

We know that they are now in each other’s arms dancing and we will hold her in our hearts until we meet again. Carolyn’s celebration of life will be held at 2pm, Saturday February 2, 2019 at the Olson-Heagle Party Barn, 595 Tillicum Way, Camano Island, WA. In lieu of flowers, please consider supporting the Carolyn Pettyjohn Memorial Scholarship at the Stanwood-Camano Area Foundation (SCAF) PO Box 1209, Stanwood WA 98292.
