Carolyn M. (McGivern) Kuras, 77 of West Deer Township, died Sunday September 30, 2018 at Concordia of Monroeville. She was born April 8, 1941 in Braddock to the late Thomas J. and Mary G. (Ambrose) McGivern. She has lived in West Deer for the past 30 years.

She was employed at Paper Craft as a Press operator where she worked 30 years then went to work for Pine Richland School District as a Custodian working for them for 11 years. She was a member of the Owl’s Club and enjoyed playing solitaire, music, singing karaoke and especially lived her cat Abby. Survivors include her step children Patricia E. (Susan) Kuras of S.C. and Paula J. (James) Consolaro of Buffalo Township, her siblings Thomas J. (Renee) McGivern, Jr. of North Huntingdon, Katherine T. (George) Holub of Monroeville, William L. McGivern of North Huntingdon, Annette (William) Belsito of Forest Hills and Daniel (Dianne) McGivern of Hendersonville, N.C. and many nieces and nephews.

Bersides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond P. Kuras July 19, 2010. The family will received friends Friday October 5, 2018 from 9 until the time of the service at 10 am in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, with the Rev. James P. Holland, officiating.

She will be laid to rest with her husband in Deer Creek Cemetery, Harmar Township. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions should be sent to the West Deer Dog Shelter, 109 East Union Road, Cheswick, PA 15024. View obituary online and leave condolences at www.
