OBITUARY Carolyn Lea Sukols September 13, 1949 – September 21, 2018 Carolyn Lea Sukols, age 69, of Houston, Texas passed away on Friday September 21, 2018. Carolyn was born September 13, 1949 in Houston, TX to Jenice and Martin A. Schaefer Jr. Carolyn graduated from Cy-Fair High School. She was married to John W. Sukols on December 17, 1994.

Carolyn had a career with Harris County Juvenile Probation Department. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 23 years, John W. Sukols; children and their spouses Sean Alexander and his wife Allison, Stacey Acevedo and her husband Bubba, Nathan Sukols and his wife Susan, Rachael Raymond and her husband Scott, grandchildren McKinley, Hayden and Kasey Alexander, Cody Wilder, Amanda Clingaman, Hailey and Alexander Sukols, Lindsey and Tyler Coolidge, Blaine and Alyssa Acevedo and great-grandson Wyatt Cooper. She also leaves her nephews Joel Schaefer, his wife Jen and their children Kaya and Cameron; Christopher Monk, his wife Jill and their children Andrew, Caitlyn and Caleb.

Carolyn was preceded in death by; mother Jenice House and father Martin A. Schaefer Jr.; sister Mary J. Walker and brother Martin A. Schaefer III. A visitation for Carolyn will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home – Family Chapel, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039 with a funeral service at 2:00 p.m. She will be laid to rest immediately following the funeral service at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
