Life’s Journey Carolyn Marlene Graham was born October 11, 1935 to proud parents Robert Lewis Langford and Carrie Willamina Langford, who preceded her in death. Carolyn was one of eight children born to this union, three of which preceded her in death, Robert Lewis Langford Jr, James David Langford and Gwendolyn Georgina Wise. She leaves to mourn four siblings, Evelyn Deloris Ewart, Kenneth Edward Langford , Mary Elaine Parker and Raymond Alexander Langford Sr. Carolyn was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio.

She completed her education at East Tech High School. There she met the love of her life Mr. Ruther M Graham, whom she married. From that union they were blessed with seven children, Sheila Horhn (Danny), Wayne Langford (Cheryl), Kim Parks, Karen Wilson, Ruther Graham Jr. (Chitaque), Lisa Smith and Amon Graham Sr. (Denisha).

From a very early age, everyone knew that she wanted to be an entertainer. She loved singing and dancing. She joined two singing groups with one being a Gospel Group.

She began to be such a good dancer that she performed frequently at the Friendly Inn. She also performed in multiple stage plays with the Karamu School of the Arts, alongside actors such as Ron O’ Neal in plays, such as A Raisin In The Sun and A Street Car Named Desire. She also attended Irma Lee’s Beauty School in her early twenty’s where she Graduated with a Degree in Cosmetology.

Her career path changed when she began to Work for General Electric Company. She later worked at True Green Chemlawn Company until she became ill and had to retire. She accepted Christ and before her transition, she held daily bible study and prayer with her daughter and caregiver, Kim, whom she told Jesus was coming to get her soon.

She leaves behind 24 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Lord came to bring her home on May 11th, 2018. She will surely be missed.
