Carolyn P. Walk, 78 years, of Cecil, passed away early Saturday, June 9, 2018 in her residence with her family at her bedside. Carolyn was born October 22, 1939 in Defiance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Robert and Donna (Balbaugh) Winebrenner. She was a 1957 graduate of Defiance High School.

She married Ted J. Walk on March 28, 1981 in Defiance, and he survives. A devoted wife and mother, Carolyn was dedicated to caring for her family and their home. She was a member of St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, Defiance.

Carolyn enjoyed reading, antiquing, hunting, dancing and bowling. She enjoyed just being outdoors and truly treasured the time she could spend with her family. Surviving is her husband Ted of Cecil; four children, Jimmie L. Frederick of Bowling Green, Ohio, Tom C. (Lori) Frederick of Defiance, Jennifer L. (Randy) Teders of Edgerton and Amanda S. (Rodney) Robbins of Ney.

Eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Sherry (Sam) Dixon of Defiance and one brother, Fred (Sandy) March of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 11, 2018 at St. John’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, 510 Jackson Avenue, Defiance, Ohio, with Father Eric Mueller officiating.

Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery, Sherwood. There will be no public visitation. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions be directed to Community Health Professionals Hospice.
