Carolyn Ann ton, age 75 and a resident of Chapman Lake, passed away on Thursday, May 10th under the care of Parkview Hospice at Parkview Randallia Hospital, Fort Wayne. Carolyn was born on February 17, 1943 in Van Buren, Indiana to George and Geraldine (Boyer) Snider. She attended local schools and, on February 20, 1973, she was married to Clyde ton in Gas City.

Together, Clyde and Carolyn shared 45 years before her passing. Their blended family includes several children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss her dearly. Carolyn was a hard worker, holding positions at Whitley Products, GTI Corporation and Biomet, where she spent 17 years.

She retired in 2005 and never looked back. Retirement gave Carolyn time to spend with her grandchildren, whom she whole-heartedly adored. She was a loving, caring person who enjoyed people, especially children.

She also enjoyed listening to her family tell stories and share memories and enjoyed time spent outside on their front swing, watching the kids, people and the lake. Carolyn was feisty, fun and a true matriarch, to whom many turned for her honest outlook and advice. In addition to her husband, Clyde ton, Sr. of Chapman Lake, three daughters survive with memories to treasure – Kelly Linton-Harkins (and Mark Harkins) of Warsaw, Krista (and Chad) Fletcher of Warsaw and Jana ton (and Randal Kephart) of Chapman Lake.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren: Jeffrey Harkins, Tyler Harkins, Sara Linton, Jesse Linton, Zachary ton, Matthew Fletcher, Spencer Fletcher, Savanah Fletcher and Kensington Kephart, all of Warsaw; five great-grandchildren: Aubrey, Ryker, Madelynn, Karlie and Kylie; and a sister, Louise Modlin of Marion, IN. Carolyn was preceded in death by her son, Billy Linton who passed on January 14, 2014. She was also preceded by her brother, Edwin Snider and her parents.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Titus Funeral Home, 2000 East Sheridan Street, Warsaw, on Monday, May 14th from 1 – 3 p.m. and from 5 – 8 p.m. A funeral which celebrates Carolyn’s life will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home with visitation for an hour prior. Burial will follow in Warsaw’s Oakwood Cemetery. Memorial gifts may be made in her memory to K-21 Health Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund, PO Box 1810 Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1810, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
