Koob, 49, of Cascade, Iowa, passed away, Saturday, February 9, 2019 at her home in Cascade, Iowa surrounded by her family. Friends and relatives may call from 10 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 16, 2019 at the Reiff Funeral Home in Cascade, Iowa. Burial will be held at a later date.

She was born May 19, 1969 in Iowa City, Iowa, daughter of Connie Wallroff and Thomas Christofforson. On April 22, 2006 she was united in marriage to Philip J. Koob in Monticello, IA. She was employed with the Human Services Department of Four Oaks in Independence, Monticello, Iowa City and Dubuque for 10 years.

Carrie was a lifelong devoted CUBS fan, she enjoyed cooking for her family, driving her camaro and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, and her loving dog, Newt. She was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade, Iowa. She is survived by her husband, Philip Koob of Cascade, IA; two children, Codie (April) Weets of Manchester, IA and Kyle Weets of Dubuque, IA; two grandchildren, Lucas and Emma; and a brother, Dale Michels Jr. of Maquoketa, IA.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Connie Glaser; and her father and mother-in-law, Joe and Cecelia Koob. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.
