OBITUARY Carroll Biggerstaff December 16, 1938 – October 10, 2018 CARROLL W. BIGGERSTAFF NEWTON – Carroll W. Biggerstaff, 79 of Newton went home to be with the Lord on October 10, 2018 at Carolina Caring in Newton. Born on December 16, 1938 in Burke County, he was the son of the late Woodrow Wilson and Bonnie Sue Biggerstaff. Carroll enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and going to Friday night football games.

He was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Carroll was a loving husband and father. He was a veteran of the US Army where he served as a medic.

Survivors include his wife of fifty two years, Betty Starnes Biggerstaff of the home; son, Teddy Duane Biggerstaff and wife Theresa Mauser of Newton; two step-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and Uncle, Oliver Childers and wife Wanda of Vale. A Celebration of Life of Service will be held on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 2 PM at Faith Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Spoch officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1 PM- 2 PM at the church. Condolences may be left at www. catawbamemorialpark.com.
