Catherine Louise “Dolly” Valentine, 70, of Hope Mills, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. She was from Hampton, Virginia and born on February 11, 1948 to the late William and Ruth Davis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jim; and brother-in-law, David Valentine.

Dolly retired as a Cafeteria Manager for Cumberland County Schools. She was very devoted to her family and was a member of Destiny Now Hope Mills. Left to cherish Dolly’s memory are her sons, Jimmy Valentine and wife Connie of Fayetteville, Eric Valentine and wife Debbie of Hope Mills; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Mary Valentine; along with many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 6pm on Friday, December 21, 2018, at Sullivan’s Highland Funeral Service. A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Wiley Hughes, will follow at 6pm in the chapel.
