Catherine “Kate” Irene (Smith) Adair, 92, Little York, passed away at 6:45 am on Friday, March 8, 2019 at Roseville Rehabilitation & Health Care in Roseville, IL. Kate was born Jan. 28, 1927, the daughter of Lauren Smith and Mona Bell (McMahill) Smith, in Biggsville, IL.

She married Paul “Don” Adair (1924-1986) on April 27, 1943. Don and Kate moved to Little York, IL shortly thereafter, where they remained for all their married life. Kate was best known for her boundless energy, love of hard work, and passion for travel.

She is survived by her only child, Donald L. Adair, his wife, Patricia L. (Conway) Adair, of Little York, IL; three grandchildren, Sean (Jenny) Adair of Monmouth, IL, Josh (Brad) Adair of Murray, KY and Amanda (Mike) Tinkham of Kirkwood, IL, as well as two great-grandchildren, Parker and Levi Tinkham. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at the Biggsville Cemetery, Biggsville, IL. Cremation has been accorded.

McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL is in charge of the arrangements.
