Obituary of Catherine Jamieson Newark, Catherine “Kitty” Jamieson age 91 died on Monday April 9, 2018 at Newark Manor Nursing Home. Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Saturday April 21, 2018 11:30am at Glenwood Cemetery in Watertown, NY Mrs. Jamieson was born on October 27, 1926 in Moorestown. NJ, the daughter of the late Matthew and Catherine Lihotz Lederman.
She was a stay at home mother and after raising her children went to work at Marine Midland Bank from where she retired. She was a past Girl Scout leader and enjoyed reading. Mrs. Jamieson was an avid golfer and worked at the Watertown Golf Club with her husband Stuart.
They enjoyed wintering in Daytona Beach until Stuart retired and they moved to Florida full time. It is requested that memorial donations be made to Newark Manor Nursing Home 222 W. Pearl Street Newark NY 14513. She is survived by her children Barbara Strauss of Watertown Stephen (Diane) Strauss of Newark Step children Wendell Jamieson of Atlanta GA Gretta (David) Storrs of Florida Son in law James McNeff of Alaska 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews She was predeceased by her first husband Carl Strauss and second husband Stuart Jamieson.
Daughter Patricia McNeff, brothers Joseph and Matthew Lederman Funeral arrangements have been made with the Cheney Funeral Home in Phelps.
