Cathy L. Gamino, 62, of East Moline, passed away Friday, February 8, 2019, with her family by her side, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Memorial visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., Moline. Memorials may be made to ACPMP Research Foundation at www.

acpmp.org. Cathy was born on March 29, 1956 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Darrel and Janice Randolph. She graduated from United Township High School, class of 1974, and then went on to graduate with honors from Black Hawk College and Marycrest College.

She married Rolando P. Gamino on April 24, 1981. In her professional life, she worked as a Secretary for the Industrial Engineering and Industrial Relations Departments at Deere & Company headquarters for 12 years and as an Enrollment Services Assistant in the Admissions Department at Black Hawk College for 3 years. Cathy was active at her sons’ schools as a member of the PTA and the Parent Assistance Team at Hillcrest Elementary and as a Band Parent at Glenview Middle School.

In her free time, she enjoyed bird watching, tending to her garden, walking by the river with her husband, visiting her parents in Florida during the winter, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband, Rolando Gamino, East Moline, IL; sons John Gamino, Oakland, CA, and Aaron Gamino, Murfreesboro, TN; parents, Darrel and Janice Randolph, Carbon Cliff, IL; siblings, Susan (Alfred) Randolph, Silvis, IL and Gary (Lisa) Randolph, Silvis, IL. Memories may be left on the tribute wall.
