Obituary for Celia Jane Crandall Print Celia Jane Crandall (formerly Macdonald – Marz), age 76, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019. Daughter of Burton Macdonald and Athilda (Tillie) Kikstra – Macdonald. Jane was born and raised in Grand Rapids, MI.

, and attended Fairview Elementary School and Union High School. She is survived by her children, Gerald (Peggy) Marz of Grand Rapids, William (Cathy) Marz, Julie (Dale) Zalewski and Leigh Ann (Bob) Nadeau of Marne, MI; grandchildren, Amber (Tony) Momany, Jessica (Shawn) Eisen, Katie (Alex) Jansheski, Alisha (Sam) Perry and Brienne Nadeau; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Gavin, Grayson, Addison, Teagan, Hansel, Gian Brecken; brothers, Ken, Skip (Penny) Glenn (Maureen) Macdonald, Mike (Pam) Young; sister, Patricia (Ralph) Walsh and dearest friends Marcy (Joe) Hunter. Jane was preceded in death by her longtime partner and best friend, Frank Kinsley of Muskegon, MI.

, her mother, Athilda (Tillie) Kikstra Macdonald, her father, Burton Macdonald and Claretta (sister in law) Macdonald. She was a woman of faith and a care-giver, always placing family, loved ones and others first. Her life exemplifies giving, caring, hard work and old fashioned down-to-earth wisdom.

Jane’s joy of cooking was her way of showing how much she loved you and if you went away hungry from her table hungry it was your own fault. She enjoyed caring for her family and friends, reading, gardening, site-seeing, nature and the lake shore. A special thank you to Lisa and Thea of Faith Hospice who’s loving care and comforting words meant the world to Jane and family.

The family will receive family and friends at the Beuschel Funeral Home, 5018 Alpine Avenue, Comstock Park on Saturday, February 23, 2019 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with Jane’s celebration of life following at 4:00 p.m., with Rev. Pastor Dale Kleinheksel as celebrant, at the funeral home. In memory of Jane, please consider contributions to Trillium Woods of Faith Hospice.
