Obituary for Celicia Clyden Hopkins Turner Anderson, SC: Celicia Clyden Hopkins Turner, 96, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 72 years, Ray Casteen Turner. Clyden was born on March 30, 1922 to Charlie and Irva Thompson Hopkins in Leaksville, North Carolina.

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and the only girl among five brothers. Her deceased brothers were Herman Hopkins, Truman Hopkins, Norman Hopkins and step-brothers, Paul and Bill Hopkins. Most important to her were her faith in God and the love she had for her family.

She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was the ultimate hostess. Although dementia robbed her of her memories, she was always ready with a sweet smile and a wink for those she loved. She and Ray moved to Anderson from Eden, NC in 2003 and were members of First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her only daughter, Debbie Snow and her husband, Mike. In addition to her daughter, she is survived by her grandchildren, Anna Snow Cheek (Brian) of Anderson and Adam Snow (Lucy) of Charlotte; four great-grandchildren, Carter Cheek, Jay Cheek, Finnegan Snow and Sadie Snow. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 14, at 2:00 PM in Eden, NC at Ridgeview Cemetery with Rev.
