OBITUARY Chad Thomas Cost May 17, 1975 – November 3, 2018 Chad Thomas Cost, 43, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, formerly of Colorado Springs, Colorado, born May 17, 1975 in Phoenix, Arizona, passed away Saturday, November 3, 2018 at home surrounded by family. Chad was the owner and operator of American Pawn and Jewelry in Colorado. He was full of love for his savior Jesus Christ and served as the Praise and Worship leader at Gateway Church, in Colorado Springs.

Chad loved spending time outdoors around a good bonfire and fishing and camping. He enjoyed playing golf and listening to Classic Rock-n-Roll. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and friend, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

Preceding him in death were his paternal grandfather, Donald Cost and his maternal grandparents, Giles and Carrie Green. Surviving to cherish his memory are his mother, Dorothy “Dodi” Green of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his father, Thomas (Patti) Cost, of Fairview Heights, Illinois; his wife, Shelley Cost, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his children, Sydney C. Cost and Jacob R. Cost; his grandmother, Pat Cost, of Brigantine, New Jersey; his siblings, Kelly (Joel) Lane, of Valrico, Florida, Micheleen (Shawn) Sandegren, of Montgomery, Texas, and Jeremy (Megan Fohne) Hunter, of O’Fallon, Illinois; his nieces and nephews, Brandon, Morgan, Jacob, and Caleb; his mother and father-in law, Louise Humphrey of Colorado Springs and Gary Humphrey, of Yukon, Oklahoma; and many other extended family and friends. Memorials are appreciated to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 6, 2018 with Pastor Warren Beatty officiating at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
