Charlene “Char” Arthur, age 54 of Massillon, passed away Monday, May 21, 2018 at Aultman Hospital. She was born April 13, 1964, in Akron. Char worked at The American Legion Post #221, where she was a bartender for many years.

She was a member of American Legion Auxiliary, the Legion Riders, and the Jan McCallister Massillon Ladies Pool League. She loved riding and spending time with her family and friends. Char is survived by her husband, Jeff Arthur; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Nick Bohn; mother, Joanne Alexander; father, William “Bill” (Vivian) Alexander; sister, Sharon Myers; brother-in-law, James Arthur (Carmen Rose); mother-in-law, Barbara Arthur; niece, Christine Lucas; and nephew, Chaz Myers.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Thomas Arthur. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 25, 2018 at 6pm, at Heitger Funeral Home – Massillon Chapel, 639 1st St NE, with Rev. Cal Hamblin officiating.

Calling hours will be held on Friday prior to the service from 4pm to 6pm. Her final resting place will be at Union Lawn Cemetery in Navarre. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Legion Riders Post 221 Charities.
