Larry M. Crawford, age 78 formerly of Jackson Twp, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 following complications with Alzheimer’s. He was born December 9, 1939, in Caddo Mills, TX, the son of the late Emmett and Helen (Moore) Crawford. Larry was a veteran of the Army serving as a MP during the Vietnam Era.

He met his late wife, Joanne (Hanson) in Chicago and was married in 1965. They moved to Jackson Twp. in 1974 with their two daughters; Erica and Jody.

Larry retired from Grodhaus and Young, Inc. in 2005. He was a member of St. Jacob Lutheran Church and enjoyed boating, fishing, and watching his grandchildren swim in his pool. He was an avid water skier and Dallas Cowboys fan.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Erica Crawford. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Jody and Mike Griech of Brecksville and grandchildren Joshua and Evan, and aunts Vera Haynes and Edna (Richard) Thrailkill of Texas. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home – Jackson Chapel, 5850 Wales Ave.
