Charlene Williams, 86, of Port Neches, Texas passed away Monday, April 16, 2018 at Clear Lake Regional Hospital. Charlene was born December 21, 1931 in Daisetta, Texas to Emmett Hardin McKenzie and Ethel Berry McKenzie. She was a resident of Port Neches for 64 years and was a retired Port Neches-Groves ISD teacher with over 10 years of service.

Charlene was a member of First United Methodist Church in Port Neches where she served as the Music Director for over 30 years. She was also a member of Beaumont Women’s Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, and Beaumont Interfaith Choral Society. Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Port Neches with Reverend Michael Peschke officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Wesley Williams, brother, Dr. Emmett Hardin McKenzie, Jr., sisters, Mary Sue Hinyard, and Clementine McKenzie.

Surviving relatives include her sons, Charles Wesley Williams and wife Karen Kirk-Williams of Niceville, Florida, Paul Wayne Williams and wife Cindy Knight Williams of Flower Mound, Texas, Jeffrey Alan Williams and wife Annette of Friendswood, Texas; step-son, Ken Wuest of Copperas Cove, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 2 step-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 277, Port Neches, Texas 77651.
