Obituary for Charles Allan Aldridge Charles Allan Aldridge, 80, of Waldo, AR passed away Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA. Charles was born August 22, 1938 in Waldo, AR to the late Marvin and Fern (Dempsey) Aldridge. He served as a Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1956-77.

During his military career he crossed the Pacific Ocean eighteen times. After his military service he was employed and retired from the Phillips Petroleum Company. He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ in Waldo.

He served on the Waldo Public School Board for six years, was a private pilot, and enjoyed driving the DAV van and restoring his 1956 Chevrolet. Charles is survived by his wife Mary Ann Aldridge of Waldo; children Mitchell Aldridge and wife Lori of Tucson, AZ, David Aldridge and wife Jennifer of Minden, LA, Jennifer Baxley and husband Mike of Emerson, Paula Maness and husband Jerry of Waldo; grandchildren Jacob and Alex Aldridge of Minden, Lauren Hanson and husband Blake of Emerson, Heather Baxley and Brian Ard of Magnolia, Victoria Jackson and husband Sam of Emerson, Kaytlyn Maness and John David Maness of Waldo; great grandchildren Brandon Hanson and Emilee Hanson of Waldo, Karyn Kirby, Kaci Kirby, Brady Ard, Hannah Ard, and Layton Dowling of Magnolia; brothers David Aldridge and wife Dora of Magnolia and Don Aldridge and wife Jan of Charlotte, NC. Funeral services will be Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Christ in Waldo with Todd Hart officiating.

Burial will follow at the Columbia Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be his grandsons and grandsons in law, Jacob Aldridge, Alex Aldridge, John David Maness, Blake Hanson, Brandon Hanson, Brian Ard, Brady Ard, and Sam Jackson.
