Charles Allen Ralston , April 07, 1946 — June 12, 2018

Charles Allen Ralston passed away in his home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018. Chuck was born April 7, 1946 in Denver, Colorado to Robert (Bob) and Thelma Ralston. Chuck was always active in sports such as, track, tennis, golf, and racquetball.

He was proud of the record he held in pole vaulting and high jump at the Thomas Jefferson High School. Chuck married Janice Benson on June 8, 1968 and had two sons, Chad P Martin, and R. Reed Martin. He and Janice divorced in November of 1974.

Later in 1983, he met JoAn Myers Hunt and they married in June of 1984, bringing three adult children into his life space, Debbie, Matthew, and Greg. Chuck later joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Church and he and JoAn were sealed in the Salt Lake Temple on June 23, 1990. “Pop” or Pa Pa Chuck as the grandkids called him had many fun times camping and hanging with the family at big holiday functions.

In his sixties, he enjoyed going camping in his motorhome and eventually traded it in for full blown glamping, at the “Alaskan” up Ogden Canyon, which was his favorite! Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Thelma Ralston, his sweet eternal companion, JoAn Ralston, and his oldest granddaughter Nikki Tate. He is survived by his sons, Chad, and Reed, his siblings, Sheryl Tippit, Barbara Sullan and Douglas Ralston.

Step Children, Debbie, Matthew, and Greg. Grandchildren, Megan Martin, Matthew Martin, and Cassidy Martin, Dustin, Whitney, Janae, Jocelyn, Julian, Jerica, Jade, Sierra, Michael, Christian, Austin, Garrett, Kaden, Kyli, Alex, and Joshua. Great grandchildren; Madison, Shylun, Tatem, Alaina, Breelyn, Memphis, and Baz!

He will be greatly missed, Love is all you Need Pops! Funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 20, 2018, located at the Eagleridge Ward Building – 351 Lofty Lane, North Salt Lake. A viewing will be held prior to the service from 9:30 – 10:45 AM with the Funeral starting at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be after the service at the Tooele City Cemetery, 361 South 100 East, Tooele, Utah.
