Thomas Vern Huntsman , October 01, 1935 — July 18, 2018

Our loving father, grandfather and great grandfather Thomas Vern Huntsman, returned to our Heavenly Father with his family by his side on July 18, 2018. Tom was born October 1, 1935 in Carbonville Utah to Sarah Aurellia Thomas and Owen Huntsman. Shortly after his birth they moved to Ferron Utah where he was raised.

On March 22, 1956 Tom and his eternal companion RaeOna Jensen were married in the Manti temple. RaeOna Passed away shortly after their 59th anniversary and he could not wait for the day he would be with her again. As an only child, he loved and was proud of the Jensen family he had married into.

Tom and RaeOna started their life together living in Price. They later moved to Salt Lake where Tom was a partner in a successful insurance/investment firm. He loved being with his children, coaching and supporting them in baseball, football and basketball along with any other activities they were involved in.

After several years they moved back to Price where Tom worked for the College of Eastern Utah. He enjoyed serving as a member of the Carbon County Sherriff’s Posse with his favorite horse Smokey. Tom was a faithful member of the LDS church and served in many callings throughout his life.

His favorite callings were serving the youth. Tom’s greatest joy was his relationship to each of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved being part of their lives.

We will miss his teasing and humorous personality. He has always been a great example as he has always put others first. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, wife RaeOna and granddaughter Jamie.

Survived by his children; Kelly (Jill), Erda UT, Kaylene (Craig) Tuft, South Jordan UT, Karl, Murray UT, Kristie (Steve) Kirchen, South Jordan UT, Sister-in-law; Beulah Jensen, Price UT, 23 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their appreciation to the Hospice nurses form Rocky Mountain Care and the staff at Willow Springs. Funeral services will be Monday July 23, 2018 at the Erda Stake Center, 1050 West Erda Way, Erda Ut.

at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held at the Stake Center before the service from 9:30 to 10:45. Interment will be at the Murray City Cemetery, 5490 South Vine Street, Murray, UT.
