Charles David Barr, 77, of Owensboro passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Transcendent Healthcare North, Boonville, Indiana. He was born in Owensboro on May 12, 1941 to the late Roland Barr and Elizabeth Coin Barr. He was retired from Aleris (Commonwealth Aluminum) as a laborer.

Charles was a member of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed fishing and working on motors. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Barr Bell, 2 grandchildren, Tony Bell and Justin Barr, and his sister, Jeannie Barr Porreca.

He is survived by his wife of 12 years, Betty Mullen Barr, his children, Steven (Darlene) Charles Barr of Owensboro, Cynthia Barr Bromley of California, Paula (Brad) Barr Martin of Owensboro, one step-daughter, Dorothy (Robert) Lomax of Owensboro, his brother James “Buddy” (Ethel) Barr of Washington State, his sister, Marjorie (Glenn) Darlands of Owensboro, and several nieces and nephews. No services or visitation. Haley McGinnis Funeral Home & Crematory is both honored and privileged to be entrusted with the care of Mr. Barr.
