Charles E. Bridges November 25, 1931 – May 14, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation Mr. Charles E. “Buddy” Bridges, age 87 of Cedartown, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, May 14, 2019. He was born on November 25, 1931 in Cedartown. He was the son of the late Macon and Lou Belle Cater Bridges.

Mr. Bridges was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Intelligence department during the Korean Conflict. He retired in management from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. Mr. Bridges was a member of the Cedar Valley Shrine, Aragon Masonic Lodge and the Brewster Cleveland American Legion Post #86.

Mr. Bridges is survived by his daughter, Anita Ginn (Rob); son, Keith Bridges (Kaci); grandchildren, Laura Ginn, Matt Bridges, and Kayla Bridges and step-grandchildren, Kendall Motes, Claire Ginn, Bailey Ellenburg and Isaiah Ellenburg. Mr. Bridges is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bettie Sue Chandler Bridges; and special friend Mildred Evans. A graveside service for Mr. Charles E. Bridges will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at eleven o’clock in the morning at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev.

Wayne Benefield officiating. The family of Mr. Bridges will receive family and friends on Friday, May 17, 2019 from six o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home. The family has requested that flowers are to be omitted, and donations can be made to First Baptist Church of Cedartown Memorial Fund, 101 N. College Street, Cedartown, GA 30125 or Cedar Valley Shrine, 1114 Rockmart Highway, Cedartown, GA 30125.
