Obituary for Charles E. Brown Sr. Charles Edward Brown, Sr., 90, of 13008 Old Richmond Rd, Keeling, VA, Danville, VA, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Roman Eagle Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center after being in declining health for over a year. Charles was born in Rice, VA on March 3, 1928, son of the late Henry Thomas Brown and the late Eva Brown. He spent all of his life in the Keeling community where he was a mail carrier for the US postal service for 24 years until his retirement; he was also a farmer in the community.

Charles was known for his love of bluegrass music and he enjoyed playing the guitar and mandolin. He was of the Baptist faith. Charles was married to Louise Rebecca Lewis Brown.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was predeceased by son, Danny Ray Brown. Survivors include, sons, Charles Edward Brown, Jr. of Keeling, VA and Jerry Lynn Brown of Keeling, VA; daughter, Brenda Faye Brown Witt and husband Raymond of Danville, VA; sister, Elsie Aherron of Danville, VA; five grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 16, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the Wrenn-Yeatts Westover Chapel with the Reverend Mike Myers officiating.

Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Keeling Vol. Fire Department at PO Box 12 Keeling, VA 24566.
