Obituary for Charles Edward Newton Charles Edward Newton age 68 died November 28, 2018 at DCH Regional Medical Center. He was born December 2, 1948 in Selma, AL to George Edward and Christeen Newton. He was a former maintenance worker for the Alabama Highway Department.

He was a member of Pine Hill Church of God. He is survived by his mother, Christeen Newton of Thomasville, AL; brother, Billy George Newton of Pine Hill, AL; two step sons, Kenny Wayne Gates of Thomasville, AL and Danny Gates of Whatley, AL; step daughter, Connie Fannin of Semmes, AL; four grandchildren and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jo Newton, his father, George Edward Newton, and sister, Mary Etheredge.

Visitation will be held at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home on Saturday, December 1, 2018 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am service time with Rev. Lester Vick officiating. Burial will follow at Kelly Cemetery in Pine Hill, AL.
