Charles F. “Chic” Hannigan Jr, (Ret PFD Lt. ) passed into eternal life after a courageous battle with dementia on November 18, 2018. He was the husband of the late A. Jean (Jackson) Hannigan.

Mr. Hannigan was born in Providence, the son of the late Charles F. Hannigan Sr., and Ann (Januszewski) Hannigan. He was a fireman for the City of Pawtucket for over 32 years. Chic retired as a Lieutenant.

He was a United States Army Veteran, serving in Korea. Mr Hannigan is survived by his children: Charles M. Hannigan and his wife Valerie of Pawtucket, Carlene Jerram and her husband Dan of New Hartford, CT and Michael J. Hannigan of Providence. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Kim Burlison and her husband Lee of Herndon, VA, Michael Jerram, Jack Jerram and Elizabeth Jerram.

He has two great grandchildren, Ava and Sophie Burlison. The funeral for Mr. Hannigan will be Thursday, November 29th at 9:00 am from the Manning-Heffern Funeral Home 68 Broadway, Pawtucket. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Teresa’s Church, 358 Newport Avenue, Pawtucket at 10:00 am.

His burial will be in Mt. St. Mary’s Cemetery, Pawtucket. The calling hours will be Wednesday, November 28th from 4-7 pm, in the funeral home.
