Obituary for Charles Herman Baker Charles Herman Baker, 75, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, December 15,2018. Born and raised in Cordova, Charles was a graduate of Memphis State University. He taught accounting for 30 years at State Technical Institute and served as Department Chairperson of Accounting for most of his 30 years.

He had a passion for raising and caring for animals, was a huge sports fan of his beloved Memphis Tigers, Memphis Grizzlies, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his father William Herman Baker, mother Eunice Redditt Baker and two brothers, James Patrick Baker and David Wayne Baker. He is survived by his wife Kathy of 47 years; two sons, Eddie Baker (Delores) of Cordova and Ted Baker (Christina) of Gallatin, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Sophia Baker and Logan Waters; three brothers, Ralph Baker (Joyce) of Williston, Joseph Baker of Cordova , and Albert Baker of Cordova; one sister, Annette Carroll of Cordova; two sisters-in-law, Sandra Baker of Bartlett and Marsha Baker of Covington, as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
