Charles Lynwood Alligood, 77, of Bronwood passed away at Lillian G. Carter Health and Rehabilitation on December 29, 2018. A funeral service will be held at the graveside in Cedar Hill Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018. Charles was born in Meigs, Georgia on September 3, 1941, son of James Preston Alligood and Mattie Lou Summers Alligood.

He worked as a butcher at Harvey’s Supermarket for many years. In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by a brother, Dexter Alligood. He is survived by his wife, Stella Bridges Alligood; brother, Houston Alligood; son, Travis Alligood; granddaughters, Tabitha Alligood and Telisa Davis; great-grandchildren, Jack, William and Whitley; and dogs, Smokey and Red.
