Martin, age 92, of Pekin, IL, formerly of Fairview Heights, IL, born on March 12, 1926 in Kirbyton, KY, died on Friday, April 20, 2018 at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. Charles was a United States Army Veteran and was a river terminal plant manager for Clark Oil Refinery for 57 years in St. Louis, MO and Peoria, IL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie M. Martin, nee Beard; his son, Norman W. Martin; his parents, Claude & Flora Manilla, nee Hobbs, Martin; two brothers; and two sisters.

Charles is survived by his son, Neville L. (Joy) Martin of Troy, IL; 6 grandchildren, Stephanie Edsall, Tim (Becky) Martin, Shannon (Ryan) York, Nicole (Aaron) Charfoos, Christina (Ryan) Borleis and Jennifer (Scott) Johnson; 17 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; his sisters, Joyce Mason and Wanda McNeely; and his brother, James William Martin. He was our dear brother-in-law, uncle and great uncle. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday April 28, 2018 at Kassly Mortuary, Ltd, Fairview Heights, IL. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 with Pastor John Temple officiating. Interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens of Memory, Fairview Heights, IL.
