OBITUARY Charles “Tommy” Thomas Spencer June 3, 1948 – December 10, 2018 CONOVER—Charles Thomas “Tommy” Spencer, 70 of Conover passed away December 10, 2018 at his residence. Born in Catawba County on June 3, 1948, he was the son of the late Terry H. and Helen Huffman Spencer. Tommy attended St. Stephens Lutheran Day School, graduated from St. Stephens High School and Clevengers College.

He retired from Fairgrove Service Center. Tommy was a lifetime member of St. Stephens Lutheran Mo-Synod Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Brenda Spencer Starnes.

He is survived by his sister Frances Reese of Conover; brothers James T. Spencer and wife Carolyn of Conover, and Wilburn L. Spencer and wife Jeannie of Conover; three nieces, five nephews and a brother-in-law Roger Starnes of Conover. Memorial service will follow at Thursday, December 13, 2018 at 11:00 am at St. Stephens Lutheran Mo-Synod Church with Pastor Dave Guelzow and Pastor David Ziehr officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the narthex.
