Charlie Brooks Funderburk, 82, of Ridgeway, VA passed away Monday, December 3, 2018. He was born July 17, 1936 in Lancaster, SC to the late Phillip Armstrong Funderburk and Mary Elizabeth Plyer Funderburk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Sue Funderburk; son, Charles Michael “Mike” Funderburk; brothers, Phillip Ray Funderburk and Joe Edwards Funderburk.

He is… Read More » survived by his daughter, Sharon Pruitt and husband, Dean of Ridgeway, VA; sister, Emma Jane Funderburk Byrd and husband, Ray of Lancaster, SC; brother, Jerry Douglas Funderburk of Lancaster, SC; grandchildren, Josh Pruitt and Ciera and Cody Pruitt and wife, Samantha; and great-grandchildren, Stella Pruitt, Jason Pruitt, and Cody Brooks Pruitt, Jr. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services, Martinsville Chapel with Pastor Gary Robertson officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Norris Funeral Services and other times at the home of his daughter, Sharon.

Burial will be at Roselawn Burial Park. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 15829 Arlington, VA 22215. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. and Crematory of Martinsville, VA is serving the Funderburk family.
