Cantu, 92, of Rosenberg will be held Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1600 Avenue D in Rosenberg, Texas. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Wednesday March 27, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church 1600 Avenue D in Rosenberg.

Mr. Cantu was born April 7, 1926 in Wharton, Texas and he passed away March 21, 2019 in Rosenberg, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Librada Cantu; his wife Ella G. Cantu; his brother Daniel Cantu. He is survived by his sons Raymond Cantu, Charles W. Cantu and wife Rosemary, Hector Cantu and wife Alicia, Kenneth Cantu; his brother Roy Cantu; his sisters Mary Becerra and Amelia Villaloboz; his grandchildren Kevin, Ashley, Tanya, Brandon, Hector, Jr., Steven and Jennifer Cantu; along with 9 great grandchildren as well as other loving family and friends.

Mr. Cantu was a lifelong resident and small business owner since 1963. He served in the United States Army. Mr. Cantu served thru the WWII and The Battle of Philippines and he was honorably discharged in 1946.

When he enlisted at the age of 16 he did not disclose his true age, so that he could help his single mother and siblings.
