Charlotte I. Hehir, age 84, of Annandale, died Thursday, March 14, 2019 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale with Fr. Andrew Stueve as the Celebrant.

Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Annandale. Visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Sunday at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Charlotte Ione Hehir was born July 28, 1934 in Minneapolis to Peter and Helen (Zawadski) Masloski.

She was Baptized, received First Communion and was Confirmed in her Faith at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in Northeast Minneapolis. Char graduated from St. Anthony High School with the Class of 1952 and continued her education at the College of St. Catherine in St. Paul for education. On November 27, 1954, she was united in marriage to Francis Hehir at St. Hedwig Catholic Church.

They lived in Northeast Minneapolis where Char worked at St. Hedwig School. In 1958, they moved to Columbia Heights and Char worked at Betty Dickinson Research Company. In 1973, they moved to Sugar Lake near Annandale.

Char worked at Arenson’s Drug Store in Annandale for 13 years. She moved to The Cottages in Annandale in 1995 and moved to her daughter’s home in Maple Lake four years ago. Char was a former member of Immaculate Conception in Columbia Heights and a current member of St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale.

She served on the CCW and was a CCD teacher. Char enjoyed scrap booking, flower gardening, and was a big Minnesota Twins fan. She loved family traditions, holidays and especially the Fourth of July.

Above all, Charlotte’s family brought her the greatest joy; she cherished the time she spent with her relatives, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Char is survived by her children, Tim (Connie) Hehir of Oak Grove, Steve Hehir (Nancy Peterson) of Maple Grove, Greg Hehir of Burnsville, John (Jolene) Hehir of Pequot Lakes, Mary (John) Antil of Maple Lake and Nancy (Todd) Gunnerson of Maple Lake; ten grandchildren, Jason (Nicole), Chad (Jen), Amy, Sam, Brandon and Kelly Hehir, Jessica (Lee) VanVoorhis, Tiffany Scherer, Lindsey (Matthew) Gutsch and Jenna (Hunter) Thiel; eight great grandchildren, Cooper, Brynn, Macin, Connor, Corey, Theo, Xander and Oaklyn; and sisters, Rita Reese of Princeton and Lucia (Dave) Roberts of The Villages, FL. She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Helen; husband.

Frank; son, Thomas; sister, Marjorie Nystrom and infant sister, Marcia; brothers-in-law, Arlo Reese, Rodney Nystrom, Raymond Hehir and George Arneson; and sister-in-law, Patricia Arneson. The casket bearers will be Jason, Chad, Sam and Brandon Hehir, John Antil and Todd Gunnerson. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Annandale.
