Charlotte Virginia Moss Vaughn June 30, 1922 – February 19, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences Services for Charlotte Virginia Moss Vaughn, 96, of Perry, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2019 at the First Baptist Church in Perry with Deacon Brian Meranda and Reverend Bob Knight officiating. Burial will be in Grand View Burial Park in Hannibal. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, February 22, 2019 at the church.

Arrangement are under the direction of Bienhoff Funeral Home. Mrs. Vaughn passed away at 6:10 a.m. Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. She was born in Perry, June 30, 1922, the daughter of Ernest Clinton and H. Marie Berrey Deckerd.

She married James Kenneth Moss on September 16, 1939 and he preceded her in death on February 9, 1986. She then married Stanley Vaughn on December 18, 1993 and he preceded her in death on October 9, 2015. Other survivors include: four daughters, Rita (Steve) O’Connor of Brighton, IL, Nancy Jones of Harrisburg, Janet (Eddie) Inman of New London, and Mary Sue (Charlie) Mitchell of Perry; one son-in-law, William Talley of Mexico; one daughter-in-law, Wanda Moss Sharp of Perry; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren; She was preceded in death by one son, Kenny Wayne Moss, one daughter, Beverly Talley, one son-in-law, William Jones, one brother, Gene Deckerd, one sister, Jo Turnbough, and three great grandchildren, Logan Martin, Zachary Talley and Connor Bates.

Mrs. Vaughn was a lifetime area resident and member of the Perry Baptist Church. She was a Ralls County 4-H leader for many years and a member of Study Club, Monroe County Extension, Southfork Club, Fagan Community Group, and the Monroe County Saddle Club. She loved knitting, crocheting, reading, needlepoint, riding horses and spending time with her family.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Talley, Brad Talley, Rodney Talley, Kendrick Inman, Jason Jones, and Darin Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be Stuart O’Connor, Teresa Stull, Stephanie Bates, Shannon Vincent, Kimberly Martin, Kelly Power, Susan Hayes and Rachel Madison. Memorial contributions may be made to Perry Baptist Church, 509 E. Salling Street, Perry, MO 63462.
