Charlsye’s Obituary Charlsye “Corky” Wynn Simpson, age 90, passed away on 01/09/19 with her son by her side. She was born 07/20/28 to Lawrence and Stella Waggoner Wynn on Centerville Road and was baptized in Duck Creek at age 11 and was a member of First United Methodist Church of Garland. She graduated from Garland High School in 1945 before attending classes at SMU and then married Robert Earl Simpson.

She worked by his side to build their business and raise their family. She will be remembered for her sense of adventure, love of games of chance, and ability to command the room in beauty and spirit until her final days. She is survived by her son Lawrence Kimbal Simpson, her grandchildren Christian, Katy, David, and Molly, and her great grandchildren Madison, Lucas, Leila, Stella, Benjamin, Aaron, Reed, and Elliott.

She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many others that she loved and treated as her own. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Earl Simpson, her son Lyndon Earl Simpson, and her grandson Robert Lawrence Simpson as well as her sisters Florine Stone, Maxine Ramsey, Nadyne Scoggins, Billie Sellers and brother Bobby H. Wynn. A visitation will be held at Williams Funeral in Garland, Saturday 01/12/19 from 6-8 pm.

The funeral service will also be at Williams, on Sunday 01/13/19 at 2:00 pm, with interment to follow at Restland.
