Chase Harris, son of Teresa Herman and Danny Harris was born on June 10, 1983 in Columbus, Georgia. He attended Lee County public schools, graduated in 2001 from Smiths Station High School and attended Southern Union State Community College. Chase was a great athlete and excelled in multiple sports.

At an early age he acknowledged his faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Crawford Road Baptist Church. Chase was a skilled craftsman and enjoyed building furniture and various Alabama football memorabilia. For 4 years Chase worked for AT&T as an installation technician as well as sold Alabama souvenirs in Tuscaloosa on the weekends during the football season.

Chase loved sports and was an avid Alabama football fan. He loved attending football games in Tuscaloosa and loved NASCAR. He also enjoyed traveling to watch NASCAR races.

He sided with many of the newer drivers after most of his longtime NASCAR favorites retired. Chase was a great father and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his beautiful daughter, Hayden Briley Harris. Hayden was daddy’s girl and Chase’s bond with Hayden was absolutely heartwarming.

He was adored by all who knew him and will forever remain in their hearts. He will be forever cherished by his family: daughter, Hayden Briley Harris; mother, Teresa Herman and stepfather, Dannie Herman of Phenix City, AL; father, Danny Harris and stepmother, Kim Harris of Phenix City, AL; sister, Crystal (Michael) Belew of Phenix City, AL; brothers, Parker and Tucker Harris; nephews, Xander Paschal and Hudson Belew; and niece, Olivia Belew, all of Phenix City, AL. Visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6, 2018 from 6 pm-8 pm at Vance Memorial Chapel on 280 Bypass in Phenix City, Alabama.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 11:00 am at Vance Memorial Chapel with interment following the service at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at Crawford Road Baptist Church at 2706 Highway 80 West in Phenix City, AL following the service. Memorial donations may be made to the college trust of Hayden Briley Harris at Wells Fargo Bank.
