Wayne Murphy, 70, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018. Graveside services will be held 12:00 pm EDT on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 until 12:00 EDT at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.

Wayne was born August 9, 1947 in Columbus, GA to the late Norman Wesley Murphy and Betty Jane Howard Murphy. He served in the US ARMY and worked for the Ford Motor Company over 30 years in sales locally. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Cheryl “Smith” Murphy.

Wayne will be missed and will finally be reunited with his love Cheryl. He is survived by his 2 daughters, April Pelkey husband Mike of Phenix City and Missey Griggs husband Jamie of Seale; son, Wesley Murphy of ATL; 4 grandchildren, Bailey and Brayden Pelkey and Jaycee and Jaxson Griggs; some extended family, and many friends.
