Donald “Donnie” Wayne Redden, 63 of Phenix City, Alabama passed away Tuesday, July 24, 2018 in Columbus, Georgia. A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2018 at 6:00 PM ET at Colonial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dewayne Dean officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00-6:00 PM ET.

Donald was born on October 31, 1954 in Lanett, Alabama to Donald James Redden and Martha Sue Sharpe Redden Parrish. He retired from METRAC after 30 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Donna Redden “Peaches” and brother Eddie Jernigan. Surviving are his loving wife, Carol Elaine Perkins Jernigan Redden, 2 sons, James Redden and Chuckie Redden, 3 brothers, Jeff Redden, Chuck Redden and Joseph Parrish “Jody”, 3 step-children, Jesse Jernigan, Steven Jernigan and Sylvia Jernigan, 9 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
