Warren White, 71, of Salem, AL passed away Monday, July 9, 2018 at Piedmont Columbus Regional in Columbus, GA. A funeral service will be held 12:30 pm EDT Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City, AL. Interment with military honors will follow at Ft.

Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. White was born August 9, 1946 in Warren, OH, son of the late Dwayne White, Sr. and Mildred Meardith White.

He retired from the Swift Spinning Mills with over 34 years of service. Mr. White served his country during Vietnam in the United States Army. He was a former member of the VFW Post 665.

Mr. White enjoyed hunting and fishing. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a wife, Anita Thacker White, one brother, Jake White and a sister, Violet Allison. Mr. White is survived by his loving wife, Joan Jackson White of Salem, AL; children, Tracy Corbin and husband Darrell of Macon, GA, Tammy White and Paul of Columbus, GA, Tabitha Tahbo and husband Taylor of Salem, AL, , Tabatha Williams and husband William of Seale, AL, Sherry Richardson and husband Paul of Panama City, FL and David Bowens and wife Michelle of Salem, AL; Sisters, Rose Ayres and husband Leonard, Carol Ayres, Daisy Shaffer and husband Larry, Dorothea Cousino and Doris Corley; a brother, Dwayne White, Jr. and wife Linda; 13 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, Keli White, brother-in-law, Gene Allison, several nieces, nephews and many extended family and friends.
