Betty Jean Rash, 72, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away Friday, June 29, 2018 at her home. A memorial service will be held Monday, July 2, 2018 at Colonial Funeral Home’s Chapel beginning at 4:00 PM. Betty was born August 8, 1945 in Warner Robins, Georgia to the late J.D. Gunn and Sara Josephine Crawford Gunn.

She retired from Bell South, then was employed with answering service, member of Crystal Valley Baptist Church, enjoyed reading her Bible daily, drinking coffee, watching tv, talking on the phone, and loved her dogs. Surviving are her husband, Kelvin Dewayne Rash, daughter, Leigh Ann Burnsed, grandson, Joseph Evan Rowland, 2 great grandchildren, Elizabeth and Emilie Rowland, sister, Gail Green, step children, Dakota Dewayne Rash, Dezarae, and Dominique, and 5 step grandchildren.
