Larry D. Bush, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at St. Francis Hospital. A service is scheduled for 11:00 am Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Lakewood Baptist Church. Rev.

M.R. Hamilton will officiate, and burial will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Visitation is Wednesday from 6-8 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City. Mr. Bush was born January 26, 1936 in Webb, AL to the late John W. Bush and Ethel Skipper Bush.

After serving in the US ARMY he soon began a long career of caring for others. He moved the family to Phenix City in 1975 and worked at several health care companies, Cobb Memorial Hospital, Central Alabama Home Health and the Russell County Red Cross. He was a member of Lakewood Baptist, where he served as a deacon, sang in the choir and helped with the food bank.

He was also active for many years in the Rotary Club and served as president. He enjoyed Braves Baseball, Auburn Football and loved spending time with his family. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Shannon Bush and siblings, Mildred Tierney, James Bush and Roy Ed Bush.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sarah Bush; son, Scott Bush and wife Diane; grandchildren, Lauren Ny(Sam), Kathryn Paul, Matthew Bush(Jacqueline) and Kaylen Bush; great-grandchildren, Lucas Ny, Sebastian Ny and Addison Kate Paul; some extended family, and many friends. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lakewood Baptist Church, 4011 Lakewood Dr, Phenix City, AL 36867. Online condolences can be made at www.
