Raymond E. Beauchamp, 82, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 6, 2018 in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm EST Monday, September 10, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel (Vance Brooks Funeral Home) in Phenix City with Pastor Lynn McManious officiating. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm EST at the funeral home. Mr. Beauchamp was born October 20, 1935 in Troy, AL to the late Walter Matthew Beauchamp and Lena Pearl Wilson McClure. He was employed with Atlanta Motor Lines Trucking.

He was a member of the Crawford Masonic Lodge. Raymond served our country proudly and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, and spending quality time with all his family.

He was a member of Crawford Road Church of Christ. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Winnie “Merle” Grimes Beauchamp, a son, Dennis Beauchamp, and a brother, Jimmy McClure. He is survived by one daughter, Kim Kite and husband Ashley, two sons, Michael Beauchamp, and Keith Beauchamp, two sisters, Sarah Margaret Lewis, and Jewell McClure, and three brothers, Walter Matthew Beauchamp, Jr, Bubba Beauchamp, and Cleve Thomas McClure, loved as a daughter, Penny Holland; (12) grandchildren, Dana Beauchamp, Jennifer Beauchamp, Reanna Beauchamp, Karla Griffin, Rachel Beauchamp, Katie Beauchamp, Emily Beauchamp, Mindy Turnbull, Todd Beauchamp, Keith Beauchamp, Jr., Dewayne Gartman, and Dylan Kite, numerous great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, extended family, and many caring friends.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Kindred Hospice for their love and care shown to Raymond and the Beauchamp family.
