Ida Peggy Thedford, 82, of Columbus, GA passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Columbus Hospice House in Columbus, GA. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm EST, on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Vance Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Gene Boyd officiating.

A private interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. Mrs. Thedford was born on July 5, 1936 in Haleburg, AL, daughter of the late . She worked as a bookkeeper in the auto industry for many years, including working for Gils’s Auto Sales.

She is survived by two daughters, Jane Causey of Jackson, MS and Sharon Dyer and husband Gil of Phenix City, AL; two sons, Donald R. Thedford, Jr. and wife Sherry of Summerville, GA and Michael Bruce Thedford of Columbus, GA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and extended family.
